What a great event it was with 65 cars registered. Thank you to everyone who brought their car out to make this the largest Indy Mopar Club show ever.

September 22nd is now history for the Indy Mopar Club all Mopar car show at Danville Chrysler Dodge Jeep and what a show it was.  The weather cooperated and provided a beautiful day to show off the 65 beautiful Mopar’s registered.  Our DJ did his usual good job of playing music and keeping everyone up to date on the door prize tickets drawn and the amount of the 50/50 that most of us “donated” to.  A local catering company furnished our food for lunch.
The dealership provided the judges to pick their choices for the awards. I’m sure it had to be a very tough job with all the vehicles sitting there in their pristine state.
At 2:30 we all gathered for our President John Bauer’s presentations.  The 50/50 ticket was drawn by a very young lad and the winner was well pleased with his $159.00.  Then the magic moment arrived as John announced the top 20 Award winners – in no particular order of choosing, but as they were written down, and Mike Leyes, Treasurer, handed out the awards:
            Dick Crawmer – 67 Charger
            Gary Halverson – 71 Challenger
            Ronda Cherry – 71 Challenger
            Bob Beisel – 69 Charger
            Joshua Rife – 70 Superbird
Tom Kelly – 68 Hemi Roadrunner
            Mike Benge – 74 Duster
            Ed Leyes – 70 Challenger
            Don Thompson – 70 Challenger T/A
Adam Erwin – 70 Cuda Convertible
            Danny Parker – 68 Charger R/T
            Steve See – 71 Challenger R/T
            Mike Comer – 70 Challenger
            Mark Smith – 69 Roadrunner
            Rick Eilert – 70 Cuda
            “Honey” & John Bauer – 68 Roadrunner
Jerry Arrick – 73 Satellite Sebring
David Kintner – 69 Hemi Roadrunner
            Dave Watt – 73 Duster
            Ralph Rhees – 69 Charger

President’s Choice Award – Dr. Dugan – 70 Hemi Challenger

The Finer Detail Award (and $100.00 cash) – Larry Rump – 68 GTX
John completed the ceremony with congratulations to all and an open invitation for a gathering at Tom & Teresa Kelly’s home immediately following the show for hot dog’s, marshmallows, and lots of other “goodies”.
